This position is responsible for providing substantial front-end technical support to customers by answering complex questions on functionality and product usage. Also recreates customer problems and provides technical assistance to less-experienced support personnel to deliver quality and customer satisfaction. The applicant must possess technical expertise in a variety of different areas, great customer skills, and an aptitude for solving both business and technical challenges.
Troubleshooting complex web applications, networking issues, Web services interactions and end user usability limitations in the use of the SecureSpan product suite.
Take ownership of complex technical customer issues and provide enhanced support for a product or product line.
Skills & Competencies
Strong personal communication and customer service skills as well as previous experience in a customer support environment are essential to this position.
Technical competence in a variety of operating systems (UNIX, Windows, Solaris).
Strong understanding of network infrastructure concepts (TCP/UDP protocols, packet routing, DHCP, etc) and devices (firewalls, proxy servers, load balancers, etc).
Experience with XML and web services technologies.
Knowledge of Cryptographic standards
Working knowledge of JMS, FTP, LDAP, and Relationship Database systems (MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL, IBM DB2)
Experience with Content Management System and Application Servers ( Weblogic, JBoss, Websphere, IIS)
Experience with virtualized and cloud environments (such as VMware and AWS)
Ability to work both independently and as a team on tasks.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, adhere to established deadlines and perform under pressure.
Maintain a high level of integrity, quality work standards and service excellence.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial high-tech environment expected.
